Profile:Prof. Simon X. Yang received the B.Sc. degree in engineering physics from Beijing University, China in 1987, the first of two M.Sc.  degrees in biophysics from Chinese Academy of Sciences, Beijing, China in 1990, the second M.Sc. degree in electrical engineering from the University of Houston, USA in 1996, and the Ph.D. degree in electrical and computer engineering from the University of Alberta, Edmonton, Canada in 1999. Prof. Yang joined the School of Engineering at the University of Guelph, Canada in 1999. Currently he is a Professor and the Head of the Advanced Robotics & Intelligent Systems (ARIS) Laboratory at the University of Guelph in Canada.  Prof. Yang has diversified research expertise. His research interests include intelligent systems, robotics, control systems, sensors and multi-sensor fusion, wireless sensor networks, intelligent communication, intelligent transportation, machine learning, and computational neuroscience. Prof. Yang he has been very active in professional activities. Prof. Yang serves as the Editor-in-Chief of Intelligence & Robotics, and an Associate Editor of IEEE Transactions on Cybernetics, IEEE Transactions on Artificial Intelligence, and several other journals. He has been involved in the organization of many international conferences.

Shunli Wang 

Southwest University of Science and Technology, China


Profile: Prof. Shunli Wang is a Doctoral Supervisor, Academic Dean, Academic Leader of the National Electrical Safety and Quality Testing Center, Academician of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences, Provincial Senior Overseas Talent, Provincial level scientific and technological talents, Academic and Technical Leader of China Science and Technology City, and top 2% of top scientists in the world, who is an authoritative expert in renewable energy research. His research interests include modeling, state estimation, and safety management for energy storage systems. 56 projects have been undertaken, including the projects from the National Natural Science Foundation of China and the Provincial Science and Technology Department. 258 research papers have been published (Research Interest Score: 11547; Citations: 3167; h-index: 29). 53 intellectual property rights have been applied, of which 23 authorizations have been approved. 9 books have been published by famous publishers such as Elsevier and IET. 23 honorary titles or awards have been achieved, such as young scholars and leading experts of innovative talent teams. Also, the team has been continuously supported by the "University & Enterprise Innovative Talent Team Support Plan" and unanimously praised by employers and peer experts.

Profile: Jiaxing Lu, Associate Professor, Doctor, master's supervisor, young scholars reserve talent of Xihua University. Executive deputy director of Key Laboratory of Fluid and Power Machinery, Ministry of Education. Deputy director of Sichuan Key Laboratory of Fluid Machinery and Engineering. Deputy director of Sichuan Energy and Power Major Equipment and Technology Collaborative Innovation Center. Natural Science Foundation of China(NSFC) project review expert. National government-assigned study abroad program evaluation expert of China Scholarship Council(CSC). Thesis review expert of Degree Center of Ministry of Education, China. Participated in the national key research and development program projects, National science and technology support program projects, key projects of NSFC, general projects of NSFC, Youth Science Fund projects of NSFC and other various types of more than 30 projects. Hui-Hwang Goh

Profile: Professor Hui-Hwang Goh is a practising electrical consultant and Registered Electrical Energy Manager. His technical interests and expertise include electrical engineering, power systems, renewable and sustainable energy, embedded power generation, wavelet analysis, load shedding, and data mining. Since 2008, Ir. Goh has been dedicating his profession to leading various research projects, putting his main focus on fostering innovation, development, and testing of new technologies that can be used to address sustainable energy issues in the developing world. He has won medals from many international expos, for the significant contributions of his innovations to the progress and welfare of the community. On top of his academic leadership, Ir. Goh further contributes to the promoting and fostering of the development of science, engineering and technology as an Associate of the Academy of Science Malaysia. He is a member of the Senior Evaluation Panel for Engineering Accreditation Council (EAC) of the Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM). Besides, he is also active in The Institution of Engineers, Malaysia (Southern Branch) as the Advisor of IEM Student Section UTHM.
